Producers will get a chance to interact with resource personnel from NRCS, FSA, and Montana’s Department of Agriculture, and assess whether going organic is right for them. Even if you don’t have any land in CRP, this workshop oers a great opportunity to inquire on the ner details of how one can transition their existing hay or grazing ground to organic, and what that would mean for their bottom line. A lot of folks don’t realize that there is an organic cattle cooperative operating in the state. This co-op allows the smaller producers to band together and empowers them to be able to sell into markets that would otherwise not be accessible.
