LOCATION

The new Stone Child College is located at the Rocky Boy Agency which is eight miles from Box Elder, Montana. All classrooms, offices, and the library are located through college buildings. Stone Child College operates a Child Care Center which is housed in a separate building.

Kennewash Hall named at a Christmas dedication in honor of Chief Kennewash, an original tribal member and early supporter of education who helped build the first school in Rocky Boy. The Kennewash Hall houses twelve classrooms, eleven faculty offices, and the administration offices. Six classrooms are equipped with computers tied into the college's network.

"Sitting Old Woman" Building is located to the east of Kennewash Hall and named in honor of Stone Child College's late President Maragret "Peggy" Nagel, who journeyed to the spirit world in December of 1994. Her given Indian name was "Sitting Old Woman", given to her by Mr. Joe Roan of Hobbema, Canada, and is considered a name of great honor because the wisdom of the elders could be seen in her eyes, even though she was only a girl. The building houses the library, bookstore, 3 computer labs, Business Office, Student Support Services, Financial Aid, Registrar/Admissions and various department programs.
